Environmental protection
One of the key areas of the Law Firm’s practice is environmental law. Dynamically changing national and EU regulations, as well as increasing environmental protection requirements, make it necessary to ensure that investments and the ongoing operations of businesses are fully compliant with applicable regulations. The Law Firm supports Clients at all stages of the investment process and in their operational activities, in particular in the area of environmental impact assessments, environmental permits, and administrative liability, assisting in the implementation of projects in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
In terms of environmental protection, our activities include in particular:
- support for clients during inspections by the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection (WIOŚ) and other authorities;
- legal assistance in obtaining integrated permits, environmental decisions, ETS permits, and water law permits;
- representation in administrative and judical proceedings;
- representation in criminal proceedings concerning violations of environmental protection regulations (we offer advice from the pre-trial phase of proceedings to representation in court);
- advice on the implementation of investments involving the construction of installations;
- conducting audits of plants and administrative decisions;
- assisting in the construction and modernization of installations (including changes to administrative decisions of the integrated permit, and permits for the introduction of greenhouse gases);
- preparing individual training courses.
