06.05.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in Italy

Entry into Italian territory
At the point of entry into Italy, Ukrainian citizens are guaranteed vaccines within 5 days:

  • against Covid-19, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and polio;

optionally:

  • against measles, mumps, rubella
  • a screening test for tuberculosis,
  • as well as obtaining other vaccinations, after obtaining the opinion of the health authorities.

Residence permit
Ukrainian citizens holding biometric passports are exempt from the entry visa require-ment and may stay in Italy for a maximum of 90 days after entering the Schengen area.

02.05.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in Austria

Entry and right of residence
Displaced persons from Ukraine have a special right of entry and residence in Austria under the Displaced Persons Ordinance, which has been in force since 12 March 2022. Accordingly, dis-placed persons have the right to enter and stay in Austria until 3 March 2023. The confirmation of the acquired right to stay is an "ID card for displaced persons". It is not necessary to submit an application for asylum.
Upon entering Austrian territory, displaced persons must register with the police. For registration, the following documents must be presented: passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, other civil status documents, other identity documents (driving licence, identity card, etc.).

21.04.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in Turkey

Entry and Residence
Within the scope of the valid visa exemption agreement between Turkey and Ukraine, citizens of Ukraine can enter Turkey with a passport or ID and stay in the country legally with a visa exemption for up to 90 days.

Work permit
Ukrainian citizens cannot work in Turkey without a work permit during both the visa exemption and residence permit period. They must obtain a work permit to engage in professional activities in Turkey.

In case a Ukrainian citizen resides in Turkey, the work permit application is made to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security by the employer who will employ the Ukrainian citizen. To make an application from within the country, the Ukrainian citizen must have a residence permit for at least 6 months.

01.04.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in France

Entry into France

    • Ukrainians holding a biometric passport and wishing to travel to France do not need to apply to the consular authorities.
    • Ukrainians wishing to travel to France and who do not have a biometric passport or a travel document must go to one of the consular offices in the countries bordering Ukraine (Poland, Romania, Hungary, etc.) so that their situation can be examined.
    • Within the Schengen area, and therefore in France, Ukrainians who hold a biometric passport or whose situation has been studied and regularised, will be in a legal situation for 90 days. If they so wish, they can obtain protection in France or any other country in the Schengen area.

30.03.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in the Czech Republic

Entrance and stay

  1. Temporary protection visa
  • From 22.03.2022 temporary protection visas are issued; this visa applies in particular to citizens of Ukraine and their family members, as well as stateless persons and other for- eigners who benefited from international protection in Ukraine before 24.02.2022
  • special visas already issued are automatically exchanged for visas for persons entitled
  • travel documents are issued for travel outside the EU
  • the visa shall be issued for a period of one year, up to 31.03.2023.
  • minimum requirements: Application form, passport, 45 x 35 mm photograph
  • no administrative charges

25.03.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in German - immigration, residence, employment

Entry into German territory

Citizens of Ukraine and other countries who have resided in Ukraine may enter into German territory without a visa. According to a decree of the Ministry of the Interior there, until 23 May 2022, people affected by war are exempt from the requirement to have a residence permit.

The right of residence

The Foreigners' Office issue residence permits - initially for one year, which can be extended.

Work permit

The residence permits also include a work permit, which covers all types of employ-ment. Attention! make sure already at the application stage that the residence permit also includes a work permit.

25.03.2022 - Citizens of Ukraine in Spain

If you are a Ukrainian national wishing to enter Spain, you do not need to apply for a visa if you have a biometric passport.

Ukrainians with a biometric passport do not need a visa to enter the Schengen area.

• If you are Ukrainian and wish to enter Spain, but do not have a biometric passport or travel documents, turn to a consular office of a country bordering Ukraine (e.g. Po-land, Romania, Hungary, etc.) to have your situation examined.
• If you do not have a passport or any travel documents, you have to present your birth certificate or any document proving your identity, as well as, if available, any document proving your residence in Ukraine before 24 February 2022.

17.03.2022- Citizens of Ukraine in Romania - entry, residence permit, work permit

Entry into Romania        

Entry into Romania is carried out on the basis of a passport

Residence permit     

The right of residence is initially granted for 90 days. The receipt of an employment contract makes it possible to extend this period.

01.03.2022 - Assumptions of the Law on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict on the Territory of their State

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Council of Ministers has adopted a draft law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with armed conflict on the territory of that country. The Special Purpose Act is to define specific rules for the legalisation of residence and work of Ukrainian citizens who entered the territory of the Republic of Poland directly from the territory of Ukraine in connection with military operations. Today, the bill will be discussed by the Sejm. Below we present the most important assumptions of the project.

01.03.2022 - Medical assistance and insurance for people arriving from Ukraine

  • The Main Pharmaceutical Inspector has issued a communication on the professional rights of pharmacists. It reads that Polish pharmacies may dispense essential medicines to Ukrainians who do not have a prescription with them.

On Thursday late in the evening the President of Ukraine announced a decree on general mobilization. Workers are already receiving calls to this effect.
The first voices are reaching us that men aged 18-60 will not be allowed to leave the territory of Ukraine.

24.02.2022 - Key information for workers from Ukraine and their employers In light of the

 

Russian military invasion and the declaration of martial law in Ukraine, the following is the most important information for workers of Ukrainian origin and our recommendations in this regard.
The first voices are being heard about the mobilisation of Ukrainian citizens for the army. Some of the workers from this country did not turn up at work today because they decided to go to their families. We also know that you are receiving a lot of questions about the situation of legalisation and possible return of workers from Ukraine to Poland.

In this situation, we offer you legal support. We can meet with Ukrainian employees on the spot - in your company - and present their options in the situation of a possible departure and return to Poland.

If an employee decides to leave for Ukraine and later returns to work, we recommend granting a leave of absence or unpaid leave for this period. If an employee decides to leave their job and return to Poland, it is recommended to take a leave of absence or unpaid leave for this period. We also remind you that both annual leave and unpaid leave require an application from the employee.

We will inform you in case of new information on this matter.
