Real estate in Poland

Renting out real estate

If you own property in Poland and generate income from it (for example, by renting it out), you must complete certain formalities and pay the relevant taxes in Poland.

According to international law, income related to real estate is taxed in the country where the property is located. Therefore, income obtained from the rental of real estate located in Poland, for example, should be taxed and settled in Poland (regardless of the owner's country of origin).

Tax obligations

The details of these settlements depend on various factors, including the type of property and its intended use. For example, the settlement for residential properties will differ from that for commercial properties.

In each case, you may need to register for tax purposes in Poland and submit the relevant declarations/settlements regularly.
